Control Systems Engineer (Senior) - Software, HMI

Wärtsilä Gas Solutions is a global business unit within the Marine Systems division, with people located in different locations such as Norway, Poland, UK, France, Finland and China. The business unit has end-to-end responsibility from Sales through to commissioning of completed systems.

 

Wärtsilä Gas Solutions offers systems and solutions related a number of oil & within the gas segments. The scope includes marine LNG and LPG cargo systems, fuel gas systems for marine vessels, onshore gas terminals and biogas systems.

 

Main tasks and responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement user-friendly HMI software for Gas Solutions Control Systems in Plant SCADA

  • Collaborate with teams for seamless integration of HMI solutions into the control system.

  • Collaborate with PLC programmer to enable effective data exchange between HMIs and control hardware.

  • Continuously improve HMI design and functionality for enhanced user experience.

  • Develop, test and maintain software products and belonging documentation.

  • Take part in technical clarifications related to own scope of delivery.

 

Qualifications:

  • Higher technical education (min. Bachelor) in Automation, Electrical engineering or related field.

  • Minimum 3 years in control systems engineering with focus on HMI programming (Plant SCADA experience is preferred)

  • Good knowledge of software architecture

  • Good understanding of hardware system design

  • Fluent English language skills, both verbally and written

  • Knowledge of automation design

  • Experience with software testing / check-out.
