CAD Project Engineer
We are currently looking for a CAD Project Engineer, for a permanent position in Gdynia, Poland. Successful candidate will become the core member of Wärtsilä Gas Solutions (WGS) CAD Team.
They would be working closely with Process Discipline Manager and Lead CAD Engineer, supporting Process and Design Engineers by transforming technical markups and instructions into P&IDs and Engineering Lists (Line List, Valve List etc.), using Autodesk Plant 3D.
The ideal candidate will play an integral part in the project lifecycle by ensuring accuracy, consistency, and efficiency in the development of key project deliverables.
Main responsibilities:
• Use Plant 3D to develop, modify, and finalize P&IDs based on engineer's instructions, compatible with 3D models to be developed on their basis.
• Manage Plant 3D project database linked to P&ID objects to facilitate generation of 3D model and Engineering Lists.
• Coordinate with Process Engineers to address any discrepancies or technical challenges during drafting, managing, and implementing design changes on P&ID's during project execution.
• Adhere to project timelines and Company/project quality standards and requirements while managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
Our requirements:
• Education: Minimum of B.Sc. degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, Process Engineering or a related field.
• Software Skills: Fluency using Autodesk Plant 3D for developing P&IDs; prior experience with ACC will be an advantage.
• Collaboration Skills: Effective communication and teamwork abilities to interact with engineers on different projects and other team members.
• Adaptability: Ability to handle changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of quality and meeting deadlines.
• Language Skills: Good English language skills, both verbally and in writing.
• Experience with LNG/LPG and/or Marine business is an advantage.
