Design Engineer

We are looking for a Design Engineer to join professionals within Engineering Design Team dealing with 3D and 2D engineering package preparation for innovative projects of Gas Solutions and its global Clients.

Preferred location for the position is Gdynia, Poland. The position is permanent.
 
What will you be doing
 
In this position, your work will be related to project execution processes within design/layout scope for Cargo and Fuel Systems activities:
 

  • Modelling in 3D and creating technical drawings in Autodesk Plant 3D, Autodesk Advance Steel, Autodesk Inventor, your typical deliverables will be:
    • 3D model,
    • general arrangement (GA) and system layout drawings,
    • assembly drawings,
    • isometric drawings,
    • material take – off lists,
  • Participating in project team meetings (progress reviews, brain storming, etc), contributing to Teamwork and design discipline development.

 
To be successful in this role, we expect you to be:
 
Experienced with engineering activities related to piping and equipment layout, pipe supporting, arrangement of equipment and its foundation, structural steel basic design.
 
In addition, as an ideal candidate you are:
 

  • familiar with 3D modelling in a similar integrated tool (piping, equipment, structural),
  • fluent in English within technical matters,
  • experienced with 3D layouts for piping systems for marine and onshore applications
  • team working oriented,
  • focused on task,
  • communicative,
  • proactive in your daily work,
  • open minded and willing to learn of new technical approach and new ways of working,
  • open to share own knowledge and experience,
  • willing to travel occasionally,
  • familiar with marine applicable international piping design codes, standards, regulations (i.e.: , API, ASME, OCIMF, ISO, SGMF) and Class requirements (ABS, BV, DNV, LR, other).
