Operational Purchaser
Key responsibilities:
- Order Placement:
Place orders according to process and collaboration with Project Purchasers and other Supply Management functions.
Monitor and follow up orders according to risk assessments and project needs.
- Supplier Management:
Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers.
Evaluate supplier performance and address any issues related to delays or discrepancies with Supply Management.
- System Maintenance:
Support and collaborate with Project Purchasers at project level and other Supply Management functions.
Ensure data integrity and accuracy in the procurement system.
- Project Management:
Support and collaborate with several Project roles as Project Managers, Project Purchasers, Project Engineers, Project Controllers, Logistics, etc.
Place purchase orders, expedite orders, handle shipments in cooperation with logistics, support with inbound deliveries when required and support closing of projects.
Support projects under commissioning and gas trial stage of the vessels and/or plants.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management.
- Skills:
Strong negotiation and communication skills.
Proficiency in procurement software (SAP preferably) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively to meet deadlines.
Fluent written and spoken business English
