Project Support Engineer

We are now looking for 2 Project Support Engineers with relevant engineering backgrounds to enhance our capability of performing lifecycle support tasks for Wärtsilä Gas Solutions product family. We offer you interesting tasks in a multicultural environment where you will gain deep knowledge of the Gas Solutions product family. 
Services organization in Gas Solutions Business Line is taking a new shape and putting more focus to even better support the customers using Gas Solutions equipment. Now we start to strengthen the Technical Services function. 


Location: Gdynia, Poland or Asker, Norway. 


Responsibilities


    Involved in basic and detailed engineering activities in assigned projects
    Preparation for commissioning and start-up operations in assigned projects
    Providing support to the project execution teams in service-related matters. Execution of services task within the projects.
    Monitor project progress and report regularly to Technical Services in preparation for system/product start-up readiness
    Field feedback from Technical and Field Service functions into the project engineering phase
    Creation of the maintenance plan and maintenance schedules for the Products and Equipment
    Definition of the required spare parts for the Products and Equipment
    Provide required information to support calculation of Total Cost of Ownership (TCO)
    Ensuring smooth transition of the Product and/or Equipment from Project phase through Warranty to Services
    Ensure the necessary parts and maintenance data is recorded in the appropriate tools and systems
    To support the Project Engineering and Execution teams in Product Development using field feedback/experience collected from Technical Experts and Field Service Engineers 

 

Requirements


•    Degree in engineering (e.g. Bachelor or Master degree) – Mechanical, Process, Automation, Electrical or relevant Engineering
•    Knowledge of LNG and LPG is beneficial
•    Previous experience from Maritime (Ship/FPSO), Oil & Gas and/or Process industry is beneficial
•    Field Service experience (onshore/offshore) is beneficial
•    Project and Time management skills
•    Structured and systematic approach
•    Good command of English, both oral and written
•    Business process improvement skills are beneficial

 

We expect you to be proactive and willing to learn and adapt to new technologies. Our official working language is English. Requirement for business travel in this position is very limited.

However, some travel to Wärtsilä offices will be required.
