We are looking for an Expert Mechanical Engineer to Wärtsilä Polska in Gdynia. Our business is growing, we offer a challenging job with a lot of possibilities for personal and knowledge growth in a great team.
 
As, Expert Mechanical Engineer your work will focus on these main responsibilities:
 

  • Participation in project execution and studies for gas plants on LNG and LPG carriers, onshore and offshore
  • Development of system design and preparation of engineering documentation
  • Specify equipment for purchase, evaluation of bids, review of vendor documentation and supplier follow-up
  • Ensure relevant technical information flows through other engineering disciplines
  • Technical clarifications with customer, supplier, 3rd party (e.g. Class Society)
  • Participate in design reviews e.g. Hazop sessions, 3D model review etc.
  • Technical support for commissioning and start-up activities, participate in FATs

 
To be successful in this role, we expect you to have:
 

  • BSc/MSc in mechanical engineering or equivalent
  • Experience from maritime, Oil & Gas and/or process industry engineering
  • Advanced technical knowledge of static and rotating mechanical equipment (such as: Heat Exchangers, Valves, Pumps, Compressors), mechanical design standards, process conditions and materials
  • Familiarity with applicable Classification Societies rules for marine industry (DNVGL, BV, LRS etc.)
  • Willingness to travel if needed, occasional business trips
  • Ability to work in a multinational team
  • Flexibility, proactiveness, independence and self-motivation
  • Fluent English language, both verbally and in writing
  • Minimum 7 years of professional relevant experience
