We are looking for a Admin and Finance Specialist (m/f/d) to join our team.
The job is within Admin and Finance of Wärtsilä Serck Como GmbH. The position is located in Geesthacht, Germany.
What will you be doing
In this position, the main responsibilities are related to office administration and support as well as finance related tasks including support of controlling, accounting and tax responsibilities.
As Admin and Finance Specialist, your work will focus on these responsibilities:
- Responsible for office administration / support processes
- Coordination with Human Resources / Supervising time recording & support local colleagues
- with admin and organizational tasks
- Manage and maintain office related contracts with external providers
- Support local accounting processes
- Contact for shared service centres
- Take over invoice verification, approval and posting instructions
- Correspondence with suppliers and external communication e.g. with authorities
- Check payment list and follow up on overdue payments for outgoing and incoming payments
- Support on monthly closing activities in SAP
- Support and perform VAT and Intrastat reporting in Poland & Germany
As an ideal candidate you will have the following abilities & education:
- Commercial education / apprenticeship plus minimum 3 years experience in a similar role
- Experience in office administration and general accounting desirable
- Good IT skills and familiarity with SAP and MS Office required
- Good organisational skills and the ability to prioritise work
- Strong problem solving skills and the ability to work under own initiative is required
- Good communication skills in German and English – both written and oral
- A desire to “make things happen”
