Wärtsilä’s Energy Business is looking for a Superintendent with experience in managing 4-stroke reciprocating engine operations & maintenance and/or installation work scope to support our FS operations in GY and other parts of the Caribbean where the demand is increasing.

As a Superintendent, 4 Stroke, you will focus on these responsibilities:
•    Perform overhauls and repairs on assemblies on site and /or in workshops
•    Perform Field activities according to the work plan  
•    Interact with customers during the work execution 
•    Perform internal and external progress status of the assigned work
•    Create Service Work Reports (SWR)
•    Ensure the work is executed according to Wartsila Quality, Health, Environmental & Safety guidelines, and customer site procedures
•    To comply with the management system accordingly to what has been implemented locally for the position
•    Perform all activities needed to reach the objectives of the position and comply with the orders, instructions, values, and company policies applicable as an employee and/or the position.

To be successful in this role, we expect you to have:
•    7+ years of mechanical maintenance expertise with Wartsila 4-stroke engines
•    Troubleshooting skills for 4-stroke engines (Wartsila engines preferred) 
•    Mechanical technical experience on Wartsila power plants or similar 
•    Ability to communicate in English (Spanish is a plus)
•    Skilled with MS office tools
•    Knowledge of Wartsila products and processes 
•    Communication skills and customer relations 
•    BS Degree + 5-7 years of related experience, or Technical/Vocational school (Mechanical) 3-5 years
•    Strong knowledge of auxiliary equipment 
•    Willing and able to travel 60-70%
