Wartsila Voyage is introducing the future of fleet operations around its well known ECDIS and integrating currently separate processes for voyage planning, weather routing, voyage execution and fleet performance management. We are supporting our shipping customers with advanced software solutions that work with large amounts of onboard data. In order to make optimal use of these solutions shipping companies need guidance during implementation and operations phases. Therefore, we are building up a team that works together with the customers helping them with interpretation and connecting our software with their business processes.

 

We are looking to recruit a Head of Performance Advisory as soon as possible for our Transas business unit in Voyage solutions business line.

 

 

As a Head of Performance Advisory at Transas your responsibilities will include:

 

  • Setting up and running a global team advising our fast growing customer base
  • Support pre-sales activities as an expert for performance management and run active trials with potential clients
  • Deliver client implementation projects and advise clients how to use the products and services
  • Identify performance differences among vessels and their causes based on client and industry data
  • Process and analyze large amounts of data by using modern Business Intelligence Tools
  • Find patterns and draw conclusions on improvement levers for shipping companies based on data analysis
  • Further improve delivery and operations processes for new clients
  • Feedback and help specifying product development items

 

 

To be successful in this role, we expect you to have:

 

  • an engineering degree such as marine engineering, naval arcitect or similar
  • indepth experience in the shipping industry on operations and fuel efficiency subjects
  • team management experience
  • experienced in facing and working with clients in complex settings
  • good access and understanding to modern IT technology
  • basic programming skills for database queries and similar analytic purposes
  • analytically and conceptually strong mind set, energetic and indipendently working 
  • inspiring, confident, persuasive manner, talent in dealing with colleagues and client personnel on different levels
