Maintenance Coordinator (m/w/d)

Contract Management has the delivery responsibility for three contract types: Operation and Maintenance Agreements, Maintenance Agreements, and Technical Management Agreements. Globally contract management covers over 500 installations on land and sea. Contract management supports our key accounts and is one of the strategic growth areas within Wartsila.

Contract Maintenance Coordinator (m/w/d)


Position description:

You will coordinate the Field Service resources for scheduled maintenance, visits or other unplanned activities. You are the primary contact during the job and will have to quickly react to customer requests and technical questions. This will require strong communication with the customer and the internal organization. You are responsible for controlling costs of your activities.


In this role your main responsibilities include:

  • Timely and accurate reaction to assigned contractual customer requisitions and service requests.
  • Coordination of Field Service resources for scheduled maintenance, visits or other unplanned activities.
  • Assist customer to prepare for scheduled maintenance.
  • Communicates the maintenance progress with the customer and internally. Applies project management skills to manage the jobs.
  • Primary contact to customer and resource on board during job execution by supporting with technical and contractual clarification as needed
  • Applies technical problem solving during the job, ensuring Wartsila complies with its contractual requirements like avoiding delays and rework.
  • Works together with the contract team and rest of the organization. Actively updates the contract manager of any important items.
  • Support customer with unscheduled maintenance and provide proper forms to fill out as required
  • Review and approval of the costs and prepared invoices for the coordinated resource activities.
  • Proper record keeping of activities and contractual requirements, like monthly status report and daily reports.
  • Coordination of above activities in a timely manner and within budget

  • Previous SAP experience is a plus



Engineering Degree  - Diesel, Mechanical or similar



Two or more years experience and successful work in a similar role



Hamburg or Genova
