Manager Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) (m/f/d)

Our Business Unit Turnkey Solutions is looking for an experienced and self-driven Manager for Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) and Operational Excellence. The position is located at Wärtsilä SAM Electronics in Hamburg, Germany.



Your responsibilities are:


  • Planning, implementation and control of ILS management in projects (national / international) with a team of app. 5 employees
  • Implementation of the contractual ILS customer requirements into a project-specific logistics concept for systems and products
  • Ensure adherence to deadlines and costs for the implementation of manuals and other ILS activities
  • Preparation of specifications for project ILS requirements and technical documentation
  • Selection, commissioning and management of subcontractors in the area of ILS as well as clarification of all technical aspects with subcontractors
  • Conduct of reviews and final lectures to ensure factual accuracy of manuals
  • Accompaniment of system and product engineering for recording / editing the ILS Work Breakdown Structure (WBS)
  • Creation of technical-logistical concepts and implementation of customer requirements in a maintenance concept for the end user
  • Responsibility for observing all logistical aspects in the project team
  • Creation of obsolescence management concepts
  • Interface coordination with the departments involved in the project (internally) and national / international subcontractors
  • Analysis and support services for offers with ILS content, creation of quantity frameworks and cost calculations, specifications and reports to fulfil the contract
  • Participation in quoting, calculation and contract negotiations in the field of ILS, maintenance and operation of technical solutions
  • Coordination and support in the creation of training materials, documentation and ILS databases
  • Support of customers in the needs analysis and in the development of training concepts
  • Execution of training courses and customer training
  • Independent editorial revision of company manuals and preparation of spare parts proposals
  • Support the organization in process definition and implementation to support ILS standard


What do we expect:


  • completed studies with technical focus plus ILS qualification
  • several years of relevant experience
  • knowledge on ILS part in technical bids and proposals
  • knowledge on S1000D, S2000M, MIL-STD 3188 and similar procedures
  • profound knowledge on military maintenance and their logistic structures
  • very good English and German skills written and spoken
  • proven leadership skills with hands-on mentality
  • decisive and good assertiveness in international teams
