We are now seeking a permanent
Trainee Marine Electronic Field Service Engineer
to join our Nacos Core team in the UK to provide first class testing, commissioning and maintenance of Automation, Navigation and Communication (ANC) systems for our customers.
Due to our customer locations, this position will ideally be based within Scotland in locations such as Aberdeen, Grangemouth and Dundee however, other locations in the UK would also be considered.
As a Trainee Marine Service Engineer, will under the supervision of our trained engineers, learn to:
- Successfully install, maintain, test and commission Automation, Navigation and Communication (ANC) systems.
- Supervision of field service teams/sub-contractors/shipyard labour; Maintaining of morale and team spirit, ensuring that all members of the team are fully familiar with the company QA policies, Health and Safety regulations
- Conducting site surveys and detailed work specifications.
- Ensuring an accurate list of tools and materials are created in line with the workload.
- Being a key liaison with customer to address enquiries and technical queries.
- Accuracy and professional standard of field service deliverables (i.e. problem solving and quality of work).
- Be a mentor and trainer to help the development of other colleagues as and when required
- Compliance with Health and Safety legislation, QA and other Company procedures at all times.
- Play a leading role in ensuring that all work carried out is to ISO 9001/2000 standard.
- To adopt a pleasant, adaptable attitude when requested to assist Company staff with any “ad-hoc” duties that may be required.
In addition to the above duties and responsibilities, the post holder must be prepared to undertake
- such additional duties within their capabilities which may result from changing circumstances, but
- which may not of necessity, change the general character or level of responsibility of the post.
To be successful in this role, we expect you to have:
- Preferably HND/HNC Engineering or equivalent experience.
- Must be willing to travel extensively across the UK and occasional international travel.
- Excellent communication skills and customer relations.
- Good organisation and reporting skills.
- Effective problem solver.
- Ability to work well in a team and autonomously
