Our Navy activities are growing with more projects upcoming and so the demand for a project engineer to join our team of professionals serving our customers and stakeholders, delivering the products with high standards of quality. 

 

In this position, your work will focus on these responsibilities:

•    Participating in Design and Engineering of marine automation systems including documentation, e.g. functional descriptions & test protocols.
•    Testing the systems, sub systems and functionalities during engineering period.
•    Facilitating technical solutions, including support for ILS documentation.
•    Participating in internal project status and milestone reviews.
•    Following up on quality and security procedures.
•    Facilitating or conducting intern Factory Acceptance Test (FAT).
•    Facilitation or participating in supplier equipment FAT.
•    Providing advice on design change when problems are identified.
•    Participating in onboard acceptance tests and trials. (can sometimes be overseas)
•    Assisting other team members as required in resolving Quality/Design issues.
•    Providing support to the management, of external and internal stakeholders.


To be successful in this role, we expect you to have:

•    Bachelor of Science in a relevant specialisation, e.g. electrical, electronic or software engineering, preferably focusing on Operational Technology (OT) systems.
•    Min 5 years of working experience in the marine or OT industry.
•    General understanding of Platform equipment functionality (Valves, Pumps, switch gear).
•    General Cyber security knowledge.
•    Proficiency in Microsoft 360 (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams)
•    Knowledge of OT Interface communication protocols, e.g. MODBUS RTU, MODBUS TCP/IP, CANBUS, IEC61162-1, -2, -450
•    Good interpersonal skills, teamwork, and organisational skills.
•    Ability occasionally to travel overseas
•    Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
