We are now looking for a Field Service Engineer to join our team based in Denmark/Hørsholm.

 

As a Field Service Engineer your work will focus on these responsibilities:

•    Conduct commissioning of automation systems at site/on board including inhouse preparations.
•    Perform Field Service activities according to the work plan.
•    Perform advanced programming as well as electronic & automation and system integration related troubleshooting on Wartsila automation equipment.
•    Perform technical advisory for repair activities executed on customers responsibility.
•    On site management of activities during the work execution.
•    Interact with customers during the work execution - Interacting with FS back office and stakeholders during work execution.
•    Perform internal and external progress status up-dates of the assigned work.
•    Prepare Service Work Reports and travel expenses on time and with expected Wartsila quality.
•    Proactively consult, advise and promote Wartsila solutions and products to customer.
•    Perform Retrofit tasks and upgrade of existing automation systems.
•    Perform Crew training in relation to ending service jobs and on requirement from customers.
•    Presentations of equipment to customers.
•    System test in presence of class and client.

 

To be successful in this role, we expect you to have:

•    Strong technical background within electrical/automation fields, ideally within maritime environments.
•    In-depth knowledge of PC-based control and monitoring systems.
•    Proven knowledge in technical problem solving, communications, project management and presentation skills.
•    A commercial mind-set, with a business and customer focus.
•    Good people skills including strong communication, both written and verbal.
•    Good time management and organisation skills - able to effectively manage the workload by periodization and coordination.
•    Self-motivated and reliable to take responsibility of your actions.
•    Structured, analytic and self-dependent working attitude.
•    Solution oriented mindset.
•    Good team player in an international and intercultural working environment.
•    Fluent in English, both written and verbal.
•    Willingness to travel up to 100 days per year (additional if required).
