Wärtsilä France recruits in 12 months CDD, for his site located in Harfleur (France) 



Electrical and Automatism



What will you be doing


Mainly assigned on board our clients' ships, during technical stops or during rotations (or occasionally with other industrial customers), you supervise the technicians during their attendances and assure good process of electrical /electrotechnical of maintenance operations.


As Superintendent, E&A your work will focus on these responsibilities:


  • You are responsible of the good works realisation, the compliance with deadlines and you are participating to electrical activities (cable tray laying, cable routing and connection, electrical modifications of cabinets, of main switchboards, bridge, connection of automation cabinets, troubleshooting, commissioning, SAT ..).
  • You manage and supervise electricians’ teams. You ensure that safety instructions are strongly applied and have a capacity of proposal to increase safety in your team.
  • Working with project coordinator, you follow the planning and the co-working. In addition to daily reporting, at the end of work you write attendances reports.
  • Privileged contact person of customer at site, you assure quality of the company's services and of its brand image.


You will shine in this role, when you have: 


  • Ideally, you have a higher diploma (BTS or Licence) in electrical engineering. You know how to do troubleshooting, commissioning’s and test installation, replace worn parts and defective components, make the connections between cabinet/machine and check the conformity of the assemblies and wiring made by yourself or by any other person.
  • The knowledge of Schneider PLCs and Siemens are appreciated.
  • You have a professional experience of 5 years minimum in the job of team leader on electrical maintenance sites in Marine business.
  • You will have to follow some trainings inside the group and will be required to travel to France or abroad. To do this, you master English language, you know how to make yourself available and make proof a flexibility.




  • Your reporting skills and your spirit of synthesis allow you to ensure a quality reporting as well as the preparation of relevant reports.
  • Your leadership and your organisational skills combined with an easy relationship will allow you to succeed in this position. You know how to adapt to your environment and have a strong sense of service.
  • French native speaker 


This position involves frequent travel of varying lengths (from a few days locally to several weeks internationally).

Electrotechnique et Automatismes


Vos tâches:


  • Principalement affecté(e) à bord des navires de nos clients, pendant les arrêts techniques ou durant les rotations (ou occasionnellement auprès d’autres clients industriels), vous supervisez les techniciens lors de leurs interventions et veillez au bon déroulement des opérations électrique/électrotechnique de maintenance.
  • Vous êtes responsable de la bonne réalisation des travaux, du respect des délais et participez aux activités d’électricité (pose de chemins de câbles, passage et raccordement de câbles, modification électriques d’armoires, de tableaux principaux, timonerie, raccordement d’armoires d’automatismes, troubleshooting, mise en service, FAT ..).
  • Vous gérez et encadrez des équipes d’électriciens. Vous veillez à l’application stricte des consignes de sécurité et êtes force de proposition pour améliorer la sécurité de vos équipes.
  • En relation avec le chargé d’affaires, vous suivez les plannings et les interventions des sous-traitants et co-intervenants, vous rédigez et transmettez les comptes rendus d’intervention, vous assurez les reportings quotidiens des travaux et du suivi des équipes.
  • Interlocuteur privilégié du client sur le terrain, vous êtes le garant de la qualité des prestations de l’entreprise et de son image de marque.
  • Vous serez convié(e) à suivre des formations au sein de notre Groupe et serez amené(e) à intervenir en France et à l’étranger. Pour ce faire, vous maîtrisez la langue anglaise, vous savez vous rendre disponible et faire preuve de flexibilité.


Pour réussir dans ce rôle, nous attendons de vous :


  • Idéalement titulaire d’un diplôme supérieur (BTS ou Licence) en électrotechnique, vous savez établir des diagnostics de pannes, assurer la mise en route et les tests des installations, changer les pièces d’usure et les composants défectueux, réaliser les raccordement armoire/machine et contrôler la conformité des montages et câblages réalisés par vous-même ou par toute autre personne.
  • La connaissance des automates Schneider et Siemens est un plus apprécié.
  • Vous justifiez d’une expérience de 5 ans minimum en qualité d’encadrant sur des chantiers de maintenance de travaux électriques à bord de navires.
  • Vos capacités rédactionnelles et votre esprit de synthèse vous permettent d’assurer un reporting de qualité ainsi que la rédaction de comptes rendus pertinents.
  • Votre leadership et votre sens de l’organisation associés à un relationnel aisé vous permettront de réussir dans ce poste. Vous savez vous adapter à votre environnement et avez un sens aigu du service.

Ce poste implique des déplacements fréquents de durée variable (de quelques jours en local – à plusieurs semaines à l’international).
