Wärtsilä France is hiring on a permanent contract for its Harfleur facility a
 

Superintendent Electrotechnics and Automation (H/F).

 
Primarily assigned aboard our clients' vessels during technical stops or at sea (or occasionally to other industrial clients), you supervise technicians and/or subcontractors and ensure that electrical/electrotechnical operations are following QSE (Quality, Safety, Environment) rules and adhere to the schedule.

 

 

Your role and responsibilities 

 

As a Superintendent, you will focus on these responsibilities:

 

  • You are responsible for the successful completion of work, adherence to deadlines, and participate in electrical activities (troubleshooting, commissioning, FAT, laying cable paths, running, and connecting cables, electrical modifications of cabinets, main boards, connecting automation cabinets...).
  • You manage and oversee teams of electricians and/or subcontractors. You ensure strict compliance with safety instructions and proactively suggest improvements for your team's safety.
  • In collaboration with the project coordinator, you monitor the schedule and co-activity. In addition to daily reports, at the end of the work, you draft service work reports.
  • In front of the client (Chief Engineer, Commander...), you represent the company, and you speak both French and English.

 
You will shine in this role when you have:
 

  • Ideally, you hold a higher education diploma (BTS or bachelor’s degree) in electrotechnics or an equivalent field. You can diagnose faults, ensure commissioning, perform electrical tests, make electrical connections, and verify the compliance of those made by others.
  • Previous experience in a similar role as Superintendent E&A is a plus.
  • Knowledge of diesel engine control systems, hybridization systems, variable speed drives, and/or programmable controllers would also be advantageous.
  • Professional experience in the Navy or offshore trades is ideal. Experience in marine or offshore professions would be beneficial. Ideally, you have previously supervised a team of technicians.
  • Your writing skills and analytical thinking enable you to provide high-quality reporting and draft relevant reports. Your leadership and organizational skills, combined with strong interpersonal relationships, will allow you to succeed in this role. You can adapt to your environment and have a keen sense of service. 
  • Proficiency in both English and French is required.
  • This position requires frequent travel of varying durations depending on the projects.
  • A B driving license is mandatory.

Electrotechnique et Automatismes.
 
Principalement affecté(e) à bord des navires de nos clients, pendant les arrêts techniques ou en mer (ou occasionnellement auprès d’autres clients industriels), vous supervisez les techniciens et/ou les sous-traitants et veillez que les opérations électriques/électrotechniques soient conformes aux règles QSE et respectent le planning.
 
En tant que Chef de Chantier,
 

  • Vous êtes responsable de la bonne réalisation des travaux, du respect des délais et participez aux activités d’électricité (dépannages, mise en service, FAT, pose de chemins de câbles, passage et raccordement de câbles, modifications électriques d’armoires, de tableaux principaux, raccordement d’armoires d’automatismes...).
  • Vous gérez et encadrez des équipes d’électriciens et/ou de sous-traitants. Vous veillez à l’application stricte des consignes de sécurité et êtes force de proposition pour améliorer la sécurité de vos équipes. En collaboration avec le coordinateur du projet, vous suivez le planning et la coactivité. En plus des comptes-rendus quotidiens, à la fin des travaux vous rédigez des rapports de travaux de service. 
  • Face au client (Chef Mécanicien, Commandant…) vous représentez l'entreprise, et vous parlez le français et l'anglais.
  • Idéalement titulaire d’un diplôme supérieur (BTS ou Licence) en électrotechnique ou équivalent, vous savez établir des diagnostics de pannes, assurer les mises en service, effectuer les tests électriques, réaliser les raccordements électriques et contrôler la conformité de ceux réalisés par toute autre personne.
  • La connaissance des systèmes de contrôles des moteurs diesel, des systèmes d’hybridation, des variateurs de vitesse et/ou des automates programmable serait un plus.
  • Vous justifiez d’une expérience professionnelle dans les métiers de la Marine ou de l’offshore. Idéalement, vous avez déjà encadré une équipe de techniciens.
  • Vos capacités rédactionnelles et votre esprit de synthèse vous permettent d’assurer un reporting de qualité ainsi que la rédaction de comptes rendus pertinents.
  • Votre leadership et votre sens de l’organisation associés à un relationnel aisé vous permettront de réussir dans ce poste. Vous savez vous adapter à votre environnement et avez un sens aigu du service.

 
Ce poste implique des déplacements fréquents de durée variable selon les affaires.
 
Permis B obligatoire.
