Advance Product Trainer Navigation (m/f/d)
to join our team working for a better future.
The preferred location for the position is in Hamburg, Germany.
What you will be doing
As Advance Product Trainer Navigation your work will focus on these responsibilities:
- Training & Development:
- Develop, update, and maintain comprehensive training materials, guides, and multimedia resources for navigation products.
- Conduct engaging training sessions (in-person, virtual, and recorded) to educate users on the effective use of navigation tools.
- Customize training programs to meet the specific needs and requirements of different audiences, including varying levels of technical expertise.
- Customize training content to meet the needs of various audiences, including beginner, intermediate, and advanced users.
- Collaborate with product development teams to ensure training materials reflect the latest product updates and technical specifications.
- Provide ongoing technical support and guidance to trainees, addressing their questions and challenges.
- LMS Moderation:
- Manage and facilitate online learning groups within the Learning Management System.
- Encourage learner participation, answer queries, and maintain a positive learning environment.
- Monitor discussions, provide guidance, and ensure adherence to community guidelines within LMS groups.
- Track learner progress, participation, and feedback to measure the effectiveness of training programs.
- Assist in creating quizzes, assessments, and other interactive elements within the LMS to reinforce learning.
- Additional Responsibilities:
- Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and LMS engagement through surveys, assessments, and user feedback.
- Assist in developing certification programs for navigation products to validate user competencies.
- Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in navigation technology and online learning strategies.
- Provide insights for continuous improvement of training and LMS moderation practices.
You will shine in this role when you have:
- Academic Degree, Master Craftsman Training or Engineering degree in a relevant field such as engineering, maritime studies, or a related discipline.
- In-depth knowledge of ANCS navigation systems (NACOS Platinum), including Radar, ECDIS, Track- & Speedpilot and other related technologies.
- At least 10 years of professional experience in the area of technical service is desirable.
- Proven ability in the installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of NACOS Platinum systems.
- Familiarity with relevant regulations and guidelines (e.g., SOLAS, IMO requirements).
- Proven experience in technical training, preferably in the maritime or navigation industry. Certification or training accreditation in instructional techniques (e.g., Train the Trainer) is advantageous.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to interact effectively with diverse audiences, including clients, colleagues, and stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in developing training materials using various tools and platforms, such as Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, and e-learning software.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed to conduct training sessions and support clients.
In this role, some travel is required to meet with our customers. Thus, we hope you to be ready to travel approximately 20%, even though most of the meetings are held virtually.
