We are now looking for a 

 

Business Controller MES (m/f/d)

 

to join our team.

 

In this role as Business Controller for MES you will maintain and adapt the reporting and business analysis tools to secure a comprehensive and effective cost controlling for the whole Business Line. Further you will consult and assist the Head of Finance by preparing and summarizing all kinds of business data analytics to generate economic transparency for the Management Team.


As Business Controller MES, your work will focus on these responsibilities:

 

  • Perform and support monthly closing and reporting activities, actual, forecast and variance analysis
  • Ensure efficient and effective Capacity Cost Controlling is performed (cost center, assets, depreciation)
  • Perform pre-, actual- and post calculations for indirect rates and related variance analysis (hourly rates, overhead rates)
  • Drive optimization and simplification of current planning and controlling processes to reduce cycle times and manual reworks
  • Communicate and coordinate with external auditors and accompany pricing audits executed by the German Military Office or other government authorities
  • Production control for a local assembly and service location (SAP)
  • Preparing financial and management reports
  • Secure compliance of commercial matters to internal Policies, Regulations and Approval Matrix 
  • Support special projects

 

To be successful in this role, we expect you to have:

 

  • You have a senior business economics degree or bachelor’s degree in business economics. 
  • Minimum 5 years of proven experience in Business or Company Control, preferably in an international industrial organization.
  • Solid experience with SAP (module CO), MS Office and preferably first experience with RPA software programming. 
  • Fluent in German and English
  • You are familiar with the business with government contracting authorities and the related pricing calculation methods (VOPR 30/53)
  • Be able to handle multiple projects simultaneously, achieve results, decisiveness, and action orientation. You are independent and show initiative with an entrepreneurial spirit. 
  • You are customer oriented, enterprising, pragmatic, and enthusiastic.
  • Flexibility and willingness to learn and grow along the business requirements 
  • Ability to work under time pressure and with tight deadlines

 

The location for the position is Hamburg, Germany.
