Design Engineer for Cable Systems (m/f/d)

Our Centre of Excellence Turnkey Solutions within the business line Voyage Solutions is looking for a customer-focused and team-oriented Design Engineer for Cable Systems within turnkey projects. The job will be located in Hamburg, Germany.

 

Your responsibilities are:

 

• Design of cable plans considering of the respective specification, the rules of the classification society, builders specification etc.
• To ensure building schedule and calculated costs
• If required, preparing building specification for construction incl. parts lists
• Creation of frame data for the following cable routing (type, category, limitation of cable length, special requirements for routing)
• Clarification of interfaces
• Detailed technical clarification together with project manager and third parties, in particular in respect of cable length optimization
• Data input and maintenance into the cable management tool
• Design of complete connection diagrams

 

Requirements:

 

*   B.Sc. / M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering
*   app. 2 years relevant experience in cable design
*   profound knowledge on design tools
*   good knowledge about rules and regulations (classification rules)
*   good German and English skills written and spoken
