Electrical Site Supervisor

We are now looking for a 

 

Electrical Site Supervisor (m/f/d)

 

to join our team working for a better future. 

 

The preferred location for the position is in Hamburg, Germany. 

 

What you will be doing 

 

As Electrical Site Supervisoryour work will focus on these responsibilities: 

 

  • Supervision of electrical installation services supporting the sub supplier supervision team during the installation phase of cable plant and major equipment and setting to work
  • Support sub supplier to coordinate the respective subcontractors on board
  • Support sub supplier in coordinating of the required logistic processes
  • Assist sub supplier in work preparation of the respective installation tasks
  • Technical supervision as well as monitoring the progress of the respective installation and setting to work activities
  • Assistance of project related processes, specifications and initiation of quality assurance measures
  • Assistance for the respective quality assurance
  • Assistance during handover of the respective electrical installation area or system to class and customer
  • Clarification of open issues with W-SAM engineering and sub supplier
  • Support for the engineering for installation related questions
  • Support sub supplier in the on-site coordination of respective electrical tasks, resources and due dates for the installation area or the system
  • Ensure the reporting to the sub supplier team, Site Supervision Manager and the sub-project manager
  • Assist sub supplier in the creation, coordination and follow up of project schedules for the respective installation area or system
  • Support sub supplier in the optimization of resource allocation and prioritization of tasks in conjunction with the Site Supervision Manager or the area managers of SAS
  • Initiate additional resources for the installation area or system together with sub supplier
  • Support sub supplier to recognize, report and track of additional costs
  • Recognize and mitigate risks in the installation area or the system (HSE, technical and commercial)

 

To be successful in this role we expect you to have:

 

  • Completed technical vocational training (technician/master technician) or equivalent 
  • Approx. 2 years of professional experience in the field of electrical installation on ships (turn-key projects) and installation processes on board.
  • Knowledge of ship operation technology
  • German and English language skills (written and spoken)  
  • Overview about processes on board
