We are currently looking for a Project Engineer to strengthen our organisation within the field electrical and hybrid power systems. Preffered location for this position is Stord or Trondheim in Norway or Hamburg, Germany.

 

What you will do

Our preferred candidate must be both practical and analytic and like to have a combined theoretical and commercial approach to problem solving. You must be able to work independently as well as you must be a good team player. These positions require good communications skills, a customer mindset and good command of English.

 

As a Engineer, your work will focus on:

  • Prepare and make verifications of technical documents
  • Model, simulate and analyse of power drives systems
  • Do follow-ups of suppliers to qualify equipment and components
  • Contribute to innovation and improvement of our products and systems
  • Participate in the design and engineering of power drives
  • Participate in pre-study and offering phase in cooperation with Sales support
  • Participate and support during installation and commissioning

 

 

To be successful in this role we expect you to have:

  • Bachelor or master’s degree within the field of electrical engineering, power electronics and drives, robotic or similar
  • Experience with or knowledge of power electronic converter and drive technology
  • Experience with or knowledge of rotating electrical machines and energy storage systems
  • Experience with MATLAB/Simulink
  • Working experience and knowledge of marine electrical power systems is preferable
