We in Wärtsilä ANCS (Automation, Navigation and Control Systems) are now looking for a

 

Logistics Manager (m/f/d)

 

to join our Materials Management, and lead a team of professionals in the logistics team.


The position is permanent and the preferred location for the position is in Hamburg, Germany, but also Horsholm, Denmark and Schiedam, the Netherlands can be considered. 
For us to be the best match, we expect you to have strong SAP knowledge especially in logistics and warehousing but also experience of export control. 

 

As a Logistics Manager (m/f/d) your work will focus on these responsibilities:

 

  • Ownership of export control process and to ensure the export control & compliance with the imported countries rules and regulations.
  • Develop business relationships with external service providers to promote company’s outsourced services management on a highest level.
  • Maintain and monitor all customs licenses and certificates, ensuring they are kept up to date.
  • Collaborate with multiple teams to determine requirements for proposals, ensuring services stay within budget and allotted timeframe.
  • Create and Implement Transport and Customs Brokerage processes and policies. 
  • Negotiate, Monitor, report and propose changes to increase on SLAs performance of each services provided.
  • Ensure company internal departments are aligned with company goals for ESP services.
  • Possess change management for processes affected by new external services.
  • Leadership of the transportation, logistics and warehousing team.
  • Communication with authorities (BAFA and Customs)

 

To be successful in this role, we expect you to have:
 

  • Team working and leadership skills.
  • Good SAP knowledge on respected areas
  • Good knowledge of export control, intrastat, commodity codes and origin rules
  • Development oriented mindset with proactive can-do attitude.
  • Supply Chain and or Sales knowledge is seen as advantage.
  • Fluent English (Basic of German seen as advantage)
  • Understanding the importance of keeping the promises to the customers.
  • B.Sc. in engineering or similar
