We are looking for a Manager of our Marine PFS (Parts & Field Service), Sales Proposals team based in a suitable location to support our teams in either Hamburg or Gdansk. 

Reporting to the  General Manager, Sales Proposals, this person will drive and execute the Global Sales Strategy and Wärtsilä Values and lead the organisation in the sub-region across all our Marine lines of business.

They will ensure development, alignment and compliance with the regional PFP Sales Proposals team strategy to transfer technical product features into commercially appealing proposals, highlighting the added value of the proposed solution to the customer.

They will ensure the functionality of proposed technical solutions that fulfils customer requirements and continuity of proposal flow. They will follow market trends, environmental and business developments and proactively develop teams accordingly.

Your main responsibilities are:
 
* Be an inspiring leader for both teams in Hamburg and Gdansk with strong communication and interpersonal competences in the international team of Sales Proposals CENO (Central Europe & Nordics). 
* Strong CRM and analytical skills are needed.
* Close cooperation with the other Managers Sales Proposals in the region, as well as the FS and Sales managers, whilst respecting the scope and priority of Sales Proposals activities.
* Preparation of sales proposals and supporting presentation material & documents for Spare Parts, Field Service and support projects where applicable.
* Determination and review of the calculated margin and proposal risk.
* Support in presenting and explaining proposals to customer.
* Building of sales funnel e.g. through maintenance planning and dry-docking dates.
* Assist to co-ordinate internal and external promotion of solutions and success stories.
* Ensure CRM data quality during offering process.
* Approval of service offers  and discount requests for Spare Parts within approval guidelines.
* Converting high quality leads from Lead to Opportunity with the Sales team.
* Use of data and analytics to identify new opportunities.
 
Main requirements in this role are (You will shine in this role when):
 
* Have relevant technical education, preferably BSc. or equivalent, marine related work experience and have an entrepreneurial mind set and Sales affinity.
* Fluent speaking English and German.
* Knowledge of regional market and awareness of cultural diversity.
* Customer focus (internal/external) and capability of building business relationships.
* Ideally, good knowledge of Wärtsilä products and solutions, preferably engines.
* Strong business and results-orientation.
* High level of detail and comprehension, while ensuring a high level of pro-activity and flexibility.
* Have experience with negotiation, communication and interpersonal skills.
* Drive for performance with positive attitude.
* Being part of the team and drive enthusiastically our cultural and DNA change.
* Encourage the exchange of ideas and collaboration across organizational boundaries.
* Contributor towards developing a healthy team spirit and team dynamics.

* Have advanced knowledge of MS Office and CRM (Salesforce) applications.

In this role, some travel is required to meet with our customers and to investigate big components directly at site. Thus, we hope you to be ready to travel approximately 5% of your time, even though most of the meetings are held virtually.
