Product Information Engineer

We are now looking for a 

 

Third Party Product Engineer (m/f/d)

 

to join our team. The position is permanent and the preferred location is in Germany, Hamburg.

 

What will you be doing 

 

As Third Party Product Engineer your work will focus on these responsibilities: 

 

  • Product strategy
    • Perform market (customer, vendor, competitor, et.)-, stakeholder- and process performance analysis
    • Develop and maintain decision making- and process support tools
    • Perform business- and marketing planning and product roadmapping
    • Standardize products, documentation, information delivery, tools and processes
  • Product lifecycle management
    • Define requirements, evaluate designs and organize product development
    • Ensure manufacturability and product related intellectual property rights
    • Ensure availability of relevant type certificates, which may involve initiation and coordination of approval processes
    • Introduce-, optimize- and discontinue portfolio products
  • Maintenance
    • Perform materials-, document-, software- and configuration(sw) management
    • Perform sales configuration(hw)-, price calculation-, and quotation template management
    • Plan, initiate and execute webinars,  trainings and presentations
    • Support sales and project management by means of information and definition of scope of supply and services
    • Provide product information for decisionmaking and instruction, manuals, presentations, web content, etc.
    • Support in the resolution of product quality issues
       

To be successful in this role, we expect you to have: 

 

  • Bachelor/Master in Industrial Engineering, Business Informatics, Electrical Engineering, or similar 
  • Experience of app. 2-3 years of relevant experience
  • Specific knowledge and experience: knowledge of ship operation technology beneficial, project management, SAP knowledge beneficial, good knowledge of business administration, negotiation-proof English language skills in speech and writing, German intermediate
