Product Lead, Advanced Navigation

We are now looking for Product Lead, Advanced Navigation - who will be reporting into our Head of Product, Navigation. This role will contribute to the strategy of delivering the next generation of navigation experience by focusing on the advanced capabilities required for greater automated and remote function and transforming these into successful products. The advanced applications can be used in combination with our Integrated Navigation System to deliver greater value to our customers and a better experience for our users.



Product Development 

  • Create and/or update product vision for new and existing products. 
  • Align overall product strategy and development capabilities with customer needs and market development.
  • Build/Buy/Partner strategies including supporting business case.
  • Process customer feedback and help specifying product development items. 
  • Balance aspects of development cost, customer value and market size.
  • Analysis of sales and financial performance.
  • Product cost structure analysis.
  • Maintain product roadmap(s). 
  • Turn business requirements into functional specifications.  
  • Initiate IT development. 
  • Monitor development and asses results versus time and budget. 
  • Create implementation plans for product and features. 
  • Prepare training and marketing material in collaboration with respective functions. 
  • Analyse and monitor competitive landscape and industry environment.
  • Manage availability of technical and commercial documentation. 
  • Provide Sales and Technical Training for new products and new releases. 


Product Implementation and Customer Advisory 

  • Define optimal product delivery and support processes.   
  • Support pre-sales activities as an expert and run active trials with potential customers. 
  • Deliver customer implementation projects and advise clients how to use the products and services. 
  • Assess product use and success based on customer and industry data. 
  • Process and analyse large amounts of data by using business intelligence tools. 
  • Further improve delivery and operations processes for new clients. 


As an ideal candidate for this position, you will have –


  • Previous experience with Integrated Bridge Systems such as – Operating, Designing, Manufacturing or Technical Sales.
  • Previous Maritime experience will be essential.
  • An understanding of the maritime regulatory landscape.
  • Experience with alternative design instruments and a variety of risk assessment tools.
  • A predisposition to always be learning and building ones learning agility.
  • Experience working within a complex matrix organisation will be an advantage.   
  • Proven track record of innovating within Maritime.
  • Experience with managing projects with agile processes.   
  • Ability to build & develop trustful professional relationships with ease across your business stakeholders and peers.   
  • Bring a creative thinking approach when it comes to complex problem-solving situations.    
  • Strong leadership skills with an open mind to improve.   
  • Fluency in English is a must.
