Product Trainer Navigation (m/f/d)

to join our team working for a better future. 

The preferred location for the position is in Hamburg, Germany. 

What you will be doing 

As a Product Trainer Navigation at ANCS Academy, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that our clients and internal teams possess the necessary skills and understanding to effectively utilize our navigation products. The job involves developing training materials and resources for navigation products, delivering training sessions, customizing training programs for different audiences, collaborating with product development teams, providing technical support to trainees, evaluating the effectiveness of training programs, assisting in the development of certification programs, and staying updated on industry trends and advancements in navigation systems.

As Product Trainer Navigation your work will focus on these responsibilities: 

• Develop Training Materials: Develop comprehensive training materials and resources for navigation products, including user manuals, guides, presentations, and multimedia content.
• Deliver Training Sessions: Deliver engaging and informative training sessions to clients, distributors, and internal staff on the features, functionalities, and operation of ANCS navigation products.
• Customize Training Programs: Customize training programs to meet the specific needs and requirements of different audiences, including varying levels of technical expertise.
• Stay Updated:Collaborate with product development teams to stay updated on new features, updates, and improvements to navigation products. And stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and technological advancements in navigation systems to ensure training materials and programs remain current and relevant.
• Provide Technical Support: Provide technical support and guidance to trainees during and after training sessions, addressing any questions, concerns, or issues that may arise.
• Evaluate Training Effectiveness: Continuously evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and materials, incorporating feedback and making adjustments as needed to enhance learning outcomes.
• Certification Programs: Assist in the development of certification programs for clients and partners to validate proficiency in the use of ANCS navigation products.

To be successful in this role, we expect you to have: 

• Academic Degree, Master Craftsman Training or Engineering degree in a relevant field such as engineering, maritime studies, or a related discipline.
• In-depth knowledge of ANCS navigation systems (NACOS Platinum), including Radar, ECDIS, Track- & Speedpilot and other related technologies. At least 5 years of professional experience in this area is desirable. 
• Proven expertise in NACOS Platinum, installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance. 
• Familiarity with relevant regulations and guidelines (e.g., SOLAS, IMO requirements).
• Proven experience in technical training, preferably in the maritime or navigation industry. Certification or training accreditation in instructional techniques (e.g., Train the Trainer) is advantageous. 
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to interact effectively with diverse audiences, including clients, colleagues, and stakeholders. 
• Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team-oriented environment. 
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in developing training materials using various tools and platforms, such as Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, and e learning software. 
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed to conduct training sessions and support clients.
