Project Engineer (Aftermarket) - EPMS

We are now looking for a

Project Engineer - Aftermarket - EPMS (m/f/d) 


to join our team. The position is permanent. The preferred location for the position is in Hamburg, Behringstrasse.

As Project Engineer your work will focus on these responsibilities:


  • Specification of the technical system concept incl. survey / feasibility study
  • Screening and selection of subcontractors for project support.
  • Clarification of the plant / system parameters with the customer.
  • Cost responsibility and cost control.
  • Evaluation of technical and commercial risks.
  • Interface clarification 
  • Material disposition for stock material and purchased parts.
  • Regular reporting to team and department management.
  • Review and approval of design documents.
  • Internal ordering of manufacturing
  • Preparation of delivery instructions.
  • Preparation and support of commissioning (partly also on site).
  • Planning of the delivery documentation.
  • Participation / organisation of project meetings with external partners, customers, etc
  • Customer presentation and organisation of factory acceptance tests
  • Support Invoicing 
  • Support Warranty issue handling
  • Organization of training of the ship's crews.
  • Preparation of service / installation reports as well as feedback on technical in-changes to the development department.


To be successful you will bring with you:


  • Electrical engineering degree or equivalent
  • Project Management skills and experience
  • (Preferable) At least 3 years of professional experience in commissioning and sales
  • deep product and service flow knowledge
  • fluent English in speaking and writing, German B2 level

Zu Ihren Hauptaufgaben als Project Engineer gehören:


  • Festlegung des technischen Anlagenkonzeptes inkl. Survey / Machbarkeitsstudie
  • Auswahl und Prüfung von Subunternehmern zur Projektunterstützung.
  • Klärung der Anlagenparameter mit dem Kunden.
  • Kostenverantwortung und Kostenkontrolle.
  • Bewertung der technischen und kommerziellen Risiken.
  • Schnittstellenklärung 
  • Materialdisposition für Lagermaterial und Kaufteile.
  • Regelmäßige Berichtserstattung an Team- und Abteilungsleitung.
  • Vorbereitung, Beauftragung und Steuerung der Konstruktion.
  • Überprüfung und Abnahme der Konstruktionsunterlagen.
  • Interne Beauftragung der Fertigung.
  • Erstellung von Lieferanweisungen.
  • Vorbereitung und Begleitung der Inbetriebnahme (auch vor Ort).
  • Planung der Ablieferungsdokumentation.
  • Teilnahme und Organisation von Projektmeetings mit dem Kunden und anderen externen Partnern
  • Organisation und Teilnahme an Abnahmen / Werksabnahmen (FAT) und Kundenpräsentationen
  • Erstellung von Installationsreports sowie Rückmeldung über technische Inhalte / Veränderungen an die Entwicklung.
  • Unterstützung bei Akquisition Umrüstungsaufträgen.
  • Unterstützung bei Rechnungserstellung
  • Unterstützung bei Garantiefällen


Besondere Kenntnisse und Erfahrungen:


  • Abgeschlossenes technisches Studium Elektrotechnik oder gleich-
  • wertige Ausbildung.
  • Mind. 3 Jahre Berufserfahrung in Inbetriebnahme und Vertrieb.
  • tiefgreifendes Produkt- und Service-Flow-Kenntnisse
  • fließendes Englisch in Wort und Schrift, Deutsch B2
