We are now looking for a

 

Project Purchaser & Strategic Sourcing Developer (m/f/d)

 

to join our team. The preferred location for the position is in Germany Hamburg, Behringstrasse.  
 
What will you be doing 

 

As Project Purchaser & Strategic Sourcing Developer (m/f/d), your work will focus on these responsibilities:
 

  • Build up relationships and develop a trustable supplier network in areas of growth.
  • Conduct negotiations in close cooperation with Strategic Purchaser and Line Manager.
  • Create and update agreements with suppliers in SAP, including but not limited to framework contracts and price lists.
  • Process Request for Quotations, Purchase requisitions and Orders.
  • Implement project-specific purchasing conditions, following the commercial terms agreed with customer and the assessment by Legal and Line Manager.
  • Ensure goods and services are delivered in a timely manner as well as maintain purchase order confirmations in SAP.
  • Monitor deliveries proactively including supplier notifications and reminders.
  • Address non-conformities
  • Identify risks in Supply Chain and propose mitigation plans including follow up.


To be successful in this role, we expect you to have: 

 

  • Solid understanding of sourcing and supply management. At least four years of experience in sourcing technology
  • Negotiation skills coupled with a strong focus on problem solving
  • Solution oriented approach, capability to implement and persistency to follow-up activities to ensure sustainability
  • Good communication and presentation skills
  • Fluent command in English and German, both oral and written and good networking capacity, willingness to travel
  • Experience with the relevant SAP modules
  • M.Sc. or B.Sc. in Engineering and/or Business or another relevant field
