For our Field Service Team in Electrical & Power Management Systems within the business unit Project Services we are now looking for an energetic, ambitious and enthusiastic

 

Service Engineer-Field (m/f/d)

 

to join our team in our Wärtsilä SAM Electronics office in Hamburg.

 

As Service Engineer-Field your work will focus on these responsibilities:

 

  • Commissioning and Service regarding the whole spectrum on the area of energy and drives systems
  • System checks of complex equipment's/ constructions within ship building projects
  • Coordination and carrying out the bringing into service as well as the necessary adjustments according to the customer requirements and respectively to our warranty obligations
  • Accompanying the test drive and if necessary going with the ship as warranty engineer
  • Presentation and handing in of equipment's systems to the ship owner, shipyard and the classification societies
  • Carrying out repairs and installations inclusive the necessary configuration/parameterization and order processing

 

To be successful in this role, we expect you to have:

 

  • A Masters or Bachelors degree in a relevant area ((Electrical Engineering or Ships Operational Technology), or equivalent
  • Relevant professional experience, especially in the fields of power generations plants, control and converter technology, medium-voltage systems
  • Knowledge in the field of customer service and ship operation
  • German and English language (written and spoken)
  • Structured and practical way of working with hands-on attitude
  • SPS skills are desirable
  • Willingness to travel frequently around the world

Zu Ihren Hauptaufgaben als Service Engineer-Field gehören:

 

  • Durchführung von Inbetriebnahme-, Service- und Garantiearbeiten für das gesamte Spektrum im Bereich Energie- & Antriebssystemen
  • Systemprüfung und Analyse von Fehlern an Geräten und Systemen vor Ort
  • Koordination und Durchführung von Inbetriebnahmen sowie notwendiger Anpassungen nach Kundenwünschen als auch Gewährleistungsverpflichtungen
  • Durchführung von Reparaturen und Installationen inklusive der erforderlichen Konfiguration/Parametrierung
  • Durchführung von Befundungen sowie Unterstützung bei der Inbetriebnahme (u.a. Begleitung von Probefahrten, Schulung der Schiffsbesatzungen)
  • Übergabe der Systeme an Klasse und Inspektoren
  • Erstellung von Service-/Installationsreports sowie Rückmeldung über technische Inhalte/Veränderungen an beteiligten Abteilungen
  • Ausarbeitung von Befundberichten, Reparaturvorschlägen und der daraus resultierenden Angebote, inklusive Erstellung von Kalkulationen

 

Was wir von Ihnen erwarten:

 

  • Bachelor/Master der Fachrichtung Elektrotechnik/Schiffsbetriebstechnik oder vergleichbar
  • Gute Kenntnisse in den Bereichen Energieerzeugungsanlagen, Regelungs- und Stromrichtertechnik sowie idealerweise Mittelspannungstechnik
  • Strukturierte Arbeitsweise und Hands-On-Mentalität
  • Kenntnisse im Kundendienst & Schiffsbetrieb
  • Gute Englischkenntnisse in Wort und Schrift
  • Ausgeprägtes Systemdenken
  • Hohe soziale und interkulturelle Kompetenz
  • SPS-Kenntnisse wünschenswert
  • Bereitschaft zur häufigen weltweiten Reisetätigkeit
