For our Field Service Team in Ship Electrification Solutions within the business unit Project Services we are now looking for an energetic, ambitious and enthusiastic

 

Service Engineer – Ship Electrification Solutions (m/f/d)

 

to join our team in Wärtsilä Deutschland GmbH. The position is permanent and the preferred location is in Hamburg, Germany.

 

As Service Engineer your work will focus on these responsibilities:

 

  • Repair, maintenance and warranty works in the areas of electrical power generation, power distribution, hybrid technology & electric drive systems
  • System testing and analysis on equipment and systems on site
  • Testing and acceptance of installation as well as the necessary adjustments
  • Supervision of sea trials, training of ship's crews
  • Presentation and hand over of equipment's systems to the ship owner, shipyard and the classification societies
  • Preparation of service/installation reports as well as feedback on technical content/changes to involved departments
  • Support and guidance of remote commissioning for other departments of the group

 

To be successful in this role, we expect you to have:

 

  • A Masters or Bachelor’s degree in a relevant area (Electrical Engineering or Ships Operational Technology), or equivalent
  • Professional experience, especially in the fields of power generations plants, control and converter technology, medium-voltage systems appreciated
  • Knowledge in the field of customer service and ship operation appreciated
  • SPS skills are desirable
  • Structured and practical way of working with hands-on attitude
  • English language (written and spoken)

Zu Ihren Hauptaufgaben als Service Engineer-Field gehören:

 

  • Durchführung von Instandsetzungs-, Wartungs- und Garantiearbeiten in den Bereichen Energieerzeugung, Energieverteilung, Hybridtechnik & elektrischen Antriebssystemen
  • Systemprüfung und Analyse komplexer Anlagen und Systemen vor Ort
  • Prüfung und Abnahme von Installationen inklusive der erforderlichen Konfiguration/Parametrierung
  • Begleitung von Probefahrten, Schulung der Schiffsbesatzungen
  • Übergabe der Systeme an Klasse und Inspektoren
  • Erstellung von Service-/Installationsreports sowie Rückmeldung über technische Inhalte/Veränderungen an beteiligten Abteilungen
  • Unterstützung und Anleitung von Remote-Inbetriebnahmen für andere Abteilungen des Konzerns

 

Was wir von Ihnen erwarten:

 

  • Bachelor/Master der Fachrichtung Elektrotechnik/Schiffsbetriebstechnik oder vergleichbar
  • Kenntnisse in den Bereichen Energieerzeugungsanlagen, Regelungs- und Stromrichtertechnik sowie idealerweise Mittelspannungstechnik wünschenswert
  • Kenntnisse im Kundendienst & Schiffsbetrieb wünschenswert
  • SPS-Kenntnisse wünschenswert
  • Strukturierte Arbeitsweise und Hands-On-Mentalität
  • Gute Englischkenntnisse in Wort und Schrift
  • Bereitschaft zur häufigen weltweiten Reisetätigkeit
