Within Ship Electrification Solutions (SES) we are a world leading total supplier of electric and hybrid solutions for the marine industry. Our products range from Shaft Generators, Electric Propulsion Systems to Hybrid Solutions.

 

We are planning to strengthen our energetic, ambitious, and enthusiastic team with a software engineer with knowledge to the marine industry as well as to electrical power systems.

 

As a

 

Software Engineer (m/f/d)

 

you will be a part of the development of environmental technologies required to make the shipping industry more sustainable. This area of expertise is rapidly growing and will give you exciting opportunities and the possibility to influence future developments

 

This is a permanent position for the SES team in Hamburg (Germany) or Stord (Norway).

 

You will provide technical knowledge and understanding to perform on:

 

  • Simulations
  • Power and Energy Management Systems
  • Integration of Converter Systems to the complete solution
  • System and Control engineering
  • Controllers
  • Programming of PLC
  • Electrical machines
  • Transformers
  • Frequency converters
  • Battery systems


To be successful in this role we expect you to have:
 

  • Preferably you hold a Master or Bachelor degree in a relevant area of electrical systems or control systems
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience, but also newcomers or young professionals are welcome
  • Structured and practical way of working with hands-on attitude
