We are now looking for a 


Strategic Purchaser (m/f/d) 


to join our Voyage team.


The position is a permanent role and the preferred location for the position is in Hamburg/Germany but also Hørsholm/Denmark, Drammen/Norway, Trieste and Diano d'Alba/Italy or Helsinki/Finland are possible locations.


What will you be doing 


In this position, your main responsibilities will include but are not limited to:


  • Manage and develop supplier base, performance, relationships and negotiations in close cooperation with Voyage BLs and Category Managers (when applicable)
  • Ensure sourcing objectives and targets on Quality, Lead Times and Cost are met in own area of responsibility
  • Manage stakeholder relation and focusing on cooperation with, e.g. Product Management, Services, Sales and R&D  
  • Create and update agreements with suppliers, maintain SAP Outline Agreements and material/supplier master data in relevant parts
  • Lead role in contract and purchasing negotiations, secure capacity and forecasting
  • Manage supplier performance and relationships, gather and analyse spend and supplier data, execute bench-marking, provide data to the relevant functions
  • Analyse future supply demand in cooperation with the needed functions
  • Support non-conformity/warranty process management in escalated issues
  • Secure compliance to Supply Management processes/procedures, strategies and agreements
  • Execute/support material/services for cost budgeting and follow-up
  • Execute/support supplier selection/rationalization process

The below will enable you to shine in this role: 


  • M.Sc. or B.Sc. in Engineering and/or Business or another relevant field.
  • At least several years of experience in Strategic Sourcing/ SCM.Solid understanding of sourcing and supply management.
  • Negotiation skills coupled with a strong focus on problem solving, quality, speed and cost
  • Solution oriented approach, capability to implement and persistency to follow-up activities to ensure sustainability
  • Able to work in a distributed team and self-driven approach
  • Good communication and presentation skills 
  • Fluent command in English both oral and written
  • Good networking capacity and willingness to travel
  • Honesty and integrity are a must
  • Making/preparing decisions based on analytics in a very transparent way
  • SAP\ERP knowledge
  • Legal knowledge
