We are on the lookout for a dedicated Team Leader Logistics & Warehouse whose main responsibility is overseeing and ensuring the seamless operations of our Warehouse. The preferred location for this position is in Hamburg, Germany. 

Your role and responsibilities 

In the exciting role of Team Leader Logistics & Warehouse your work will focus on:

• Ownership of export control processes and ensuring export control & compliance with each country’s specific rules and regulations.
• Cultivating business relationships with external service providers to elevate the company’s outsourced services management to unmatched heights.
• Maintaining, monitoring and ensuring all customs licenses and certificates are kept up to date.
• Collaborating with various teams to define proposal requirements while ensuring services remain within budget and the projected timeframes.
• Designing and rolling out Transport and Customs Brokerage processes and policies.
• Negotiating, monitoring, reporting and proposing changes to increase performance of each services provided.
• Ensuring the company internal departments are in line with the company’s goals and objectives.
• Being proactive in managing changes for processes impacted by new external services.
• Upholding strong communication with authorities such as BAFA and Customs.
• Overseeing the management and storage of Disposal / Hazardous Substances.
• Handling inventory, tool management, waste disposal, waste balance and associated documentation.
• Ensuring adherence to intended processes, working methods, tools as well as local and global templates, documents and reports and their consistent use.
• Collaborating closely with Field Services & Workshops and other internal departments.
• Compliance with Wärtsilä’s health, safety, quality and environmental guidelines.
• Engaging in the development discussions and skills assessments of your team members.

You’ll be working as a part of a dynamic, self-driven and energetic Warehouse & Logistics team with diverse expertise.  

Requirements for the position 

• A BSc in Logistics or related field (preferred). 
• Knowledge in Supply Chain and/or Sales would be a bonus.
• Experience in inventory, goods movement, warehousing and respective systems.
• Good knowledge of export controls, Instratat, commodity codes and origin rules

• Solid understanding of Wärtsilä’s way, along with the systems and tools used.
• Proficiency in MS Office, SAP / ERP
• Fluent in German and good proficiency in English
• Possession of a valid Driving and Forklift licence without limitations (can also be acquired internally)

Als Logistics & Warehouse Foreman / Teamleader (m/f/d) liegen die Schwerpunkte ihrer Arbeit in diesen Bereichen:

• Verantwortung für den Exportkontrollprozess und Gewährleistung der Exportkontrolle und der Einhaltung der Regeln und Vorschriften der Importländer.
• Aufbau von Geschäftsbeziehungen zu externen Dienstleistern, um das Management der ausgelagerten Dienstleistungen des Unternehmens auf höchstem Niveau zu halten und zu fördern.
• Pflege und Überwachung aller Zolllizenzen und -bescheinigungen und Sicherstellung, dass diese auf dem neuesten Stand gehalten werden.
• Zusammenarbeit mit mehreren Teams, um die Anforderungen für Angebote zu ermitteln und sicherzustellen, dass die Dienstleistungen innerhalb des Budgets und des vorgegebenen Zeitrahmens bleiben.
• Erstellen und Implementieren von Prozessen und Richtlinien für Transport und Zollabwicklung.
• Verhandeln, Überwachen, Berichten und Vorschlagen von Änderungen, um die Leistung der einzelnen angebotenen Dienstleistungen zu steigern.
• Sicherstellen, dass die internen Abteilungen des Unternehmens mit den Unternehmenszielen übereinstimmen.
• Änderungsmanagement für Prozesse, die von neuen externen Dienstleistungen betroffen sind.
• Führung des zugehörigen Teams.
• Kommunikation mit Behörden (BAFA und Zoll)
• Umgang mit Entsorgung / Gefahrstoffen / Gefahrstoffmanagement und -lagerung
• Inventur, Werkzeugmanagement, Abfallentsorgung, Abfallbilanzierung und entsprechende Dokumentation
• Sicherstellung der Anwendung von vorgesehenen Prozessen und Arbeitsmethoden, Werkzeugen sowie lokalen und globalen Vorlagen, Dokumenten und Berichten und deren einheitliche Nutzung
• Enge Zusammenarbeit mit Field Services & Workshops und anderen internen Abteilungen
• Einhaltung der Gesundheits-, Sicherheits-, Qualitäts- und Umweltrichtlinien von Wärtsilä
• Durchführung von Entwicklungsgesprächen und Kompetenzeinschätzungen Ihres Teams.

Um in dieser Funktion erfolgreich zu sein, erwarten wir von Ihnen folgende Fähigkeiten:

• - B.Sc. in Logistik oder ähnlichem bevorzugt
• - Teamarbeit und Führungsqualitäten.
• - Solides Verständnis der Arbeitsweise von Wärtsilä und der verwendeten Systeme & Werkzeuge
• - Verantwortlich für Ihre Aufgaben und Verantwortlichkeiten
• - Erfahrung im Bereich Inventur, Warenbewegung, Lagerhaltung in den jeweiligen Systemen
• - Gute MS Office, SAP / ERP Kenntnisse in den entsprechenden Bereichen
• - Bereitschaft, zu lernen und sich und Ihr zuständiges Team weiterzuentwickeln
• - Gute Kenntnisse in den Bereichen Ausfuhrkontrolle, Intrastat, Warennummern und Ursprungsregeln
• - Entwicklungsorientierte Denkweise mit proaktiver "can-do" Einstellung.
• - Kenntnisse in der Lieferkette und/oder im Vertrieb sind von Vorteil.
• - Bereitschaft zur Flexibilität bei Mehrarbeit und Notdiensten
• - Gute Kommunikationsfähigkeiten
• - Fließendes Deutsch und gute Kenntnisse in Englisch
• - Die Fähigkeit, mehrere Aufgaben gleichzeitig zu erledigen
