Technical Coordinator Field Services

We are now looking for a Technical Coordinator to join our Field Services team. This opportunity is offered on a permanent basis and will be based in Hamburg, Germany.

What will you be doing? 
As a Technical Coordinator, you will focus on the end to end order management processes. From processing the order, to monitoring order documentation, to managing the order book, to reviewing quality/time/cost compliance, you will help to ensure that all orders are effectively managed. 

 

Your work will focus on these responsibilities:
- Plan, coordinate and execute complex field service orders and field service projects
- Plan and prepare the necessary work, resources, suppliers, spare parts for the implementation of service orders
- Procure necessary goods and services, coordinating with internal and external customers and suppliers
- Manage complex service orders in accordance with the agreed performance promise (quality, time, costs) against the customer
- Ensure customer satisfaction and continued customer communication, from initiation through to execution
- Key point of contact for the head man / workshop during a service assignment at the customer
- Close cooperation and coordination with Field Services Administration, Resources and Service Sales Support Technical Service and in the affiliated company
- Apply intended field service processes and working methods and tools, as well as local and global templates, documents and reports and their uniform use
- Contribute ideas for process and product improvements and their coordination
- Report on field service operations and provide the relevant documents and information to internal stakeholders
- Implement the system-supported order processing as well as real-time system entries and status information of the service orders
- Compliance with the Wärtsilä health, safety, quality and environmental guidelines as well as applicable customer regulations 

 

The below will enable you to shine in this role, when you have and you are:
- Experienced from engine sector (Wärtsilä/ Deutz)
- Technically qualified with practical experience in a similar position
- Working knowledge of installation, operation, maintenance and repair in the field of marine technology or power plant technology
- Awareness of cost and effectiveness, and the impact you can have on this
- Customer focused and process development attitude, with evident experiences of understanding different need sand formulating actions that meet those needs
- Experience with public clients
- Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills, and a track record in building strong customer relationships that enhance customer experience
- Demonstrable negotiation and persuasion skills
- Self-motivated and reliable to take responsibility of, and drive, your actions
- Team player who engages and collaborates with others to deliver results
- Proficient in German and English, both written and verbal 

 

You may be at an advantage with:
Wärtsilä product knowledge
IT skills in MS Office and SAP
