Our Marine Electrical Systems business provides innovative state-of-the-art system solutions for technical demanding requirements focusing on naval ships, yachts and special vessels of all types. As a competent partner for ship owners and shipyards worldwide Marine Electrical Systems assumes overall responsibility for complex systems projects.
We are now looking for an open-minded and team-oriented
Technical Illustrator (m/f/d)
to join our ILS (Integrated Logistics Support) team in Hamburg, Germany.
What you will be doing
The team is responsible for providing our military customers (mainly the German Navy) with high-quality and up-to-date information and deliveries covering the complete ILS scope. This starts from LCC-RAMS analysis and maintenance information and covers also the spare parts information as well as the technical documentation for the complete portfolio of the Marine Electrical Systems.
As Technical Illustrator your work will focus on these responsibilities:
- Creation of interactive technical illustrations based on BOMs (Bill of Materials) and technical data sheets
- Self-reliant and pro-active communication and close cooperation with the involved engineering, development and project departments
- Self-reliant revision and creation of interactive technical drawings/illustrations
- Conducting reviews and closing lectures to ensure factual accuracy of illustrations
- Ensure adherence to deadlines, costs and quality for the implementation of system manuals, spare parts catalogues and other ILS activities
To be successful in this role we expect you to have:
- Technical system designer or similar design oriented professional education
- Several years of professional experience

Good written and verbal skills in (technical) German and English

Excellent technical (and electrotechnical) understanding and spatial sense

Experience in creation of technical illustrations in the scope of ILS
In this role, some travel is required to meet with our customers. Thus, we hope you to be ready to travel approximately 5%, even though most of the meetings are held virtually.
