The preferred location for the position is in Hamburg, Germany.

What you will be doing

As Working Student - HRBP Supportyour work will focus on these responsibilities:

In this role you will work side by side and hand in hand with the Lead HRBP of ANCS. ANCS (at this point still) belongs to Wärtsilä and although our team is small, we can rely on a global HR organisation to support us. As a working student you will be responsible for the following :

  • Based in our Headquarter in Hamburg you are the right hand of the Lead HR Business Partner and ensure that everything related to People and Organisation within ANCS runs smoothly - today and going forward.
  • You will support the upcoming Divestment of ANCS in all people-related aspects. Exciting times for us! ANCS is currently in the process of finding a new owner! For us within HR this means a lot of project work to ensure the People Services we have in place today, will also be available for us tomorrow.
  • Especially in times of change, it is key to keep the organisational stability up. You will work on several projects to monitor and improve the employee engagement within ANCS: You will prepare the engagement surveys, monitor the progress, create materials for our manager and employees to enable meaningful discussions.
  • You will take over administrative duties such as running and analysing reports, as well as updating org charts.
  • You will support in the management of the annual clock HR processes for ANCS such as Target Setting, Achievement Reviews, Merit Review, and more.

To be successful in this role we expect you to have:

  • You are based in Hamburg and enrolled as a full-time student at a German university/university of applied sciences
  • You speak fluent English and ideally good German.
  • You got a minimum of 15 hours per week, ideally 20 hours per week, to spend in this role. During the semester break you can work more of course.
  • You want to learn more about HR in a global environment.
  • As you will be working in Business HR, some experience related to this is a plus but not needed. More important is the right attitude: You got an open personality, you are able to learn quickly, you dare to take over responsibility and jump into cold water, you are a people person and enjoy working with people.
  • You are reliable, you focus on results and deliver as promised. You are structured and analytical.

What is in for you?

  • From day one you will be a highly appreciated team member with your own responsibilities but always working hand in hand with an experienced HR Business Partner that will have your back.
  • You will learn a lot about HR in a global environment and will be part of a very interesting phase of our company’s journey (the upcoming divestment).
  • A very good compensation for your work – but most importantly a great team and a very inspiring international work environment.
  • Lunch Subsidy and one of the best views in Hamburg coming along with it!
  • Due to the nature of your role, we will meet in the office a lot but you also have a lot of flexibility to decide what work environment is best for your upcoming tasks – we combine the best of both worlds and work in a hybrid model (on site / mobile).
