In this position you will be managing a wide range of international service projects related to the maintenance, repair and upgrades of the engines, gearboxes and propulsion systems of our maritime customers in the northern area of the Netherlands for our office and repairshop in Harlingen. Our customers are mainly ocean-going vessels in the fishery, dredging, cruise, merchant and oil & gas industry.

As a Service Coordinator, you will be challenged with a wide scope of responsibilities from the early order handling in the system, procurement activities and communication towards our customers, suppliers, network stations and colleagues involved in the projects. 

Our customers are located in the Benelux, but the projects can be executed all over the world. As a Service Coordinator, you are part of our Service Unit Central Europe. Your location is our office in Harlingen, Friesland.

 

What are your main tasks and responsibilities?

  • You manage the full scope of the service projects assigned to you. This means coordinating multiple service jobs simultaneously in a cost-efficient way.
  • You supervise and instruct the field service specialists assigned to your projects, which could be 20+ persons in total.
  • You use your solid project management skills to look after the customer satisfaction, monitor the project planning and ensure this will be done within budget.
  • You create purchase orders in the system and ensure everything is delivered on time at the right locations.
  • You take care of planning and preparation of your projects and monitor Field Service KPI’s such as margin, work in progress, billable rate, etc.
  • Manage your projects with clear communication and cooperation between field services, customers, workshops and administration.
  • Comply with Safety and ISO processes for all personnel, tools and machines to insure safety, accuracy and quality of all services.
  • You act as contact person for the customer from project kick-off up to the invoice.

 

What do we expect from you?

  • You hold a vocational or bachelor’s degree, preferably in a technical or maritime study combined with several years of working experience in a service minded organisation
  • If you have any working experience in a technical or international working environment, this is seen as an advantage.
  • Any experience with technical maintenance and Project Management is needed to be able to understand the needs of our customer.
  • You know how to instruct and guide colleagues in the field.
  • Independent, creative and pro-active.
  • You are disciplined, assertive and you have strong communication skills both in Dutch and English, spoken and written
  • Good knowledge of MS Office, ERP and or Salesforce.
