We are looking for an Engine Test & Operations Engineer to take ownership of our Engine Testing Facility in Hattem.
This role is ideal for someone with practical experience operating and maintaining large diesel engine installations who wants to work in a unique technical environment.
You will be responsible for operating, maintaining and continuously improving our engine testing facility. You will coordinate engine test runs, perform troubleshooting, maintain supporting systems and ensure safe and reliable operation of the facility.
You will become the key specialist responsible for the day-to-day operation of the test facility, working closely with assembly, quality and engineering teams.
What You Will Do
- Operate and manage QuantiParts' Engine Testing Facility
- Prepare and execute engine test runs and Factory Acceptance Tests
- Monitor engine performance and record test results
- Produce clear and structured reports following test programs
- Troubleshoot mechanical, operational and system-related issues
- Maintain the test facility and auxiliary systems
- Plan and perform preventive maintenance activities
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental and quality standards
- Plan activities with assembly and workshop team
- Identify opportunities to improve testing processes, facility reliability and operational efficiency
- Act as the primary technical contact for engine testing activities
What We Are Looking For
We are looking for a hands-on technical professional who enjoys taking ownership and working independently.
You may come from a marine, power generation, energy, industrial process, maintenance or heavy-industry environment. Experience operating and maintaining engine systems is more important than previous testing or validation experience.
Successful candidates may have worked as:
- Marine Engineer, 2nd Engineer or Chief Engineer onboard vessels
- Power Plant Operator or Power Plant Engineer
- Commissioning Engineer
- Maintenance Engineer
- Process Engineer in heavy industry
- Field Service Engineer for engines and/or rotating equipment
You bring:
- Practical experience with diesel engines and auxiliary systems
- Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and operational issues
- Basic understanding of engine automation and control systems
- Strong sense of ownership and responsibility
- Ability to work independently and organize your own activities
- Curiosity and willingness to learn engine testing methodologies
- Good communication skills in Dutch and English (German is a plus)
Previous engine testing experience is not required.
