QuantiParts is the Original Engine Manufacturer (OEM) for 12 classic Wärtsilä engine brands. We support our customers in theglobal Marine and Energy businesses with the best technical know-how and supply of genuine spare parts for scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on a 24/7 basis.
We are now looking for a
Team leader Transport & Customs
to lead a team of 3 transportation coordinators and the daily operational activities within the department. You oversee all foreign and special transports and provides the necessary administrative support, including all customs and VAT-related activities associated with the national and international shipment of goods.You will report to the Manager Warehouse and work with a high-performance team consisting of Warehouse Handlers, Warehouse Administrators, Quality, Sales and Purchasing colleagues.
What are your main tasks and responsibilities?
The QuantiParts Team leader Transport & Customs is:
- Leading the team of transportation coordinators;
- Checking Delivery and Sales orders for accuracy and completeness.
- Informing Warehouse and Sales of any irregularities and corrects and completes the shipment
- Proposing improvement plans for the transportation department;Informing QP's organisation about transportation market trends and particularities;
- First point of contact for CEVA for operational topics.
To be successful in this role, we expect you to have:
- Bachelor level and 3+ years of experience in leading a transport team
- Experience to determine the appropriate transport options and applicable resources for road, rail, water and air transport, and the transport insurance;
- Expert knowledge of export documents and applicable legislation for creating export documents;
- Knowledge of the quality, safety and environmental regulations for the national and international transport sector;
- Good organisation and communication skills - ability to effectively make decisions;
- A customer minded and service-oriented attitude with Can-Do mentality;
- Dutch is the main communication language within the company, but due to our international network, fluency in English is required as well.
