Assembly Fitter/Machinist

As a Bench Operator you will embedded in a team that supports the smooth flow of operations between machine centres.  This role is base on either a late shift or night shift and would require flexibility across the department when required.

 

This is a permanent opportunity and the successful candidate will be based out of our office in Havant, Hampshire UK.

 

What are your main tasks and responsibilities?

 

  • Work to a define set of process to manufacture seals and bearing products to high specifications.
  • Utilising hand tools and machines to carry out daily tasks.
  • Conduct thorough inpsection of work carried out to ensure product quality.
  • Complete accurate documentation in line with business process requirements.
  • Support with the packing and shipment of finished products.
  • Adhere to Health & Safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment is maintained.
  • Support with continuous improvement activities within the operating processes and procedures.
  • Deliver in line with specified on time delivery targets.
  • Due to the nature of the role, flexibility is required to provide effective support across the manufacturing department.

 

What do we expect from you?

 

  • A HND/HNC Apprenticeship served qualification within mechanical engineering is advantageous.
  • Background within mechanical fitting.
  • Ability to read and work from engineering drawings.
  • Clear communicator.
  • Fluent in English, verbal and written.
  • Due to the nature of the role, the successful candidayte must be eligibale to achive base line security clearance.
