Evening Cleaner

The evening cleaner position is offered on a permanent basis and is located in Havant, UK. This position is part time, following a shift pattern of 3pm-5pm Monday to Friday.

What will you be doing?


The purpose of this role is to keep buildings in clean and orderly condition. You will be performing light and heavy cleaning duties such as cleaning floors, shampooing rugs, washing walls and glass, and removing rubbish. Duties will also include notifying management of need for repairs.


As an Evening Cleaner your work will focus on these responsibilities:


•    Cleaning entire buildings or portions of buildings. This may include cleaning bathrooms, mopping tiles, vacuuming carpets, among other specific cleaning duties.
•    Perform general clean-up of all areas of the building as directed.
•    Sweeping, vacuuming, and mopping floors.
•    Clean commercial buildings by emptying rubbish bins, servicing toilets, and wiping down communal surfaces.
•    Tackle heavy cleaning jobs upon request.
•    Notify building management of any repairs required.
•    Mix and dispose of all cleaning solutions appropriately.
•    Remove rubbish and recycling daily and prepare bins for weekly pick-up.
•    Handle emergency cleaning and upkeep requests.
•    Ensure rooms are maintained and fully equipped.
•    Requisition supplies and equipment needed for cleaning and maintenance duties.
•    Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors, using soapy water or other cleaners, sponges, and squeegees.
•    Mix water and detergents in containers to prepare cleaning solutions, according to specifications.
•    Steam-clean or shampoo carpets.
