Logistics Operative

Logistics Operative

 

to join our team working for a better future. 

 

The preferred location for the position is in Havant, UK. 

 

Work hours:
08:30 – 16:30 Monday – Thursday (30-minute break)
08:30 – 15:30 Friday (30-minute break)

 

What you will be doing 

 

As Logistics Operative, your work will focus on these responsibilities: 

 

  • Packing duties require checking complete orders are all available / correct to parts list of drawings, labelling and following procedures of packing requirements for dispatching of order.
  • Work alongside other area operations driven by business demand / requirements.
  • Fork-lift license would be useful but not essential as training will be given, required for loading/offloading.
  • Lift and sling / packer stacker required however training provided. 
  • Communication with all operations within logistics to ensure proactive actions are taken to meet OTIF.
  • Continuous improvement relating to process and procedures.
  • All duties carried out to be done in a safe manner following H&S safety procedures.
  • Work between all logistic operations teams based on business demand/priorities

 

To be successful in this role, we expect you to have:

 

  • Background within manufacturing environments is desirable but not essential
  • Comply with H&S procedures and understand implications of non-conformance.
  • Aptitude for reading and understanding drawings is desirable but not essential as training will be provided.
  • Previous exposure in a similar role is desirable.
  • Strong communicator with both internal and external customers.
  • Flexibility to work across Logistic Operations team.
  • Handling of the product is extremely important, as some parts are fragile and expensive with lengthy replacement lead times.
  • Items being packed range from simple one-piece packs weighing grammes to complex complete seals consisting of sub-assemblies and loose items weighing up to 3000 Kilos.
  • Take part in other duties across Logistics teams when Business demand requires this.
