Machine Operator - Manual Mill

As a Machine Operator you will focused on working on the Radial Drill machine which would encompass the matching of materials such as stainless steel, carbon and composites. This role requires either a late shift or night shift pattern and would require flexibility across the department when required.


The successful candidate will be based out of our office in Havant, Hampshire UK.


What are your main tasks and responsibilities?


  • Work to engineering drawings to ensure accurate manufacturing of products.
  • Machining of inconell seal rings, both new and refurbished components.
  • Conduct effective machining work to tight tolerances whilst using a variety of measuring equipment and the refurbishment of use components.
  • Cleaning down of machines between running different products.
  • Ensure the preparation of completed equipment is ready for testing.
  • Adhere to Health & Safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment is maintained.
  • Support with continuous improvement activities within the operating processes and procedures.


What do we expect from you?


  • A HND/HNC Apprenticeship served qualification within mechanical engineering is advantageous.
  • Strong background within a production environment and working with machinery, in particular grinding machines.
  • Ability to read and work from engineering drawings.
  • Clear communicator.
  • Sound knowledge of the Marine industry is desired.
  • Fluent in English, verbal and written.
  • The successful candidate must be eligible to undergo base line security clearance.
