The Shaft Line Solutions (SLS) team are looking to welcome an enthusiastic and passionate Marketing and Communications Specialist into our dynamic Marketing team.

This role is offered on a permanent basis and is based at our site in Havant, UK.

 

 

What will you be doing?

 

As Marketing and Communications Specialist, your main accountabilities will be:

 

  • Support the SLS Marketing Manager with the fulfilment of the Marine marketing plan
  • Align all activities towards achieving the business strategic and financial goals
  • Responsible for marketing new product developments successfully as directed

 

Your work will focus on these responsibilities:

 

  • Conceptualise and write communications including articles, social media posts, newsletters, press releases and information bulletins.
  • Deliver communications through various internal and external channels such as the intranet, social media and the company website news outlets.
  • Assist in the delivery of global digital content campaigns for Shaft Line Solutions (SLS) Navy and Commercial Marine markets.
  • Assist in content generation and creation of campaign collateral - including editorial, advertising, emails, webinars, podcasts, animations, videos, infographics, business white papers and case studies.
  • Update, develop and optimise the SLS internal and external digital platforms including the Company website and intranet.
  • Liaise with the media, suppliers and stakeholders to enable successful delivery of projects.
  • Manage the production and amendment of our extensive range of sales and marketing literature - including product information, corporate brochures and presentations.
  • Involved in the marketing activities for the pre and post launch of our new products and services.
  • Support in the organisation of exhibitions, conferences, seminars and webinars.
  • Responsible for enforcing brand values and guidelines.
  • Manage and maintain marketing literature and document databases.
  • General marketing department administration duties as appropriate.

 

The below will enable you to shine in this role:

 

  • Degree (or equivalent) in a Marketing or Business related discipline
  • Marketing experience within a B2B organisation
  • Experience of website maintenance using a CMS
  • A creative thinker, with a track record of producing new ideas and concepts
  • Commercially aware, with a proven ability to be strategic whilst assured of operational delivery
  • Excellent communication skills, with a proven ability to engage with a wide range of stakeholders both internally and externally, across a global market with remote and virtual teams
  • Demonstrable negotiation skills, with effective questioning and listening techniques
  • Effective time management and organisation skills - able to successfully manage a dynamic workload
  • Flexible approach to work; open and willing to adapt to change
  • Self-motivated and reliable to take responsibility of your actions
  • Appreciate the value of teamwork and thrive in both an individual and a team environment
  • Fluency in English, verbal and written
  • The job is offered subject to successfully obtaining security clearance
