Mechanical Project Engineer

The Engineering team is currently seeking a Mechanical Projects Engineer to support the full lifecycle development of projects within the Seals & Bearings ensuring fulfilment and customer acceptance.

 

The Mechanical Projects Engineer will join the engineering team on an initial 24 month fixed term contract to support the delivery of a key project.
 

The role will be based out of our office in Havant, Hampshire United Kingdom.

 

What are your main tasks and responsibilities?

 

  • Review customer enquiries and provide effective and accurate advice and delivery in consultation with the wider time whilst ensuring all technical aspects of specified projects are fully identified and understood.
  • Coordinate the development of bid responses and supporting negotiation from a technical aspect.
  • Establish and maintain the work breakdown structure, contract means of compliance and risk register by obtaining relevant input by key stakeholders.
  • Deliver assigned projects in scope of the agreed contracts.
  • Ensure compliance is maintained in line with ISO standards and correct health and safety practise and obligations are adhered to.

 

What do we expect from you?

 

  • A Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar qualification is desired.
  • A strong and proven technical background within Mechanical Engineering function.
  • Understanding of effective planning, control and compliance planning.
  • Strong communicator with internal and external customers.
  • Commercially aware.
  • Analytical problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail with a structure and methodical approach to work tasks.
  • An effective team player.
  • Knowledge of the Marine industry is desired.
  • Fluent in English, verbal and written.
  • The role will require international travel; therefore, you must hold a valid passport and be eligible to work within the UK.
  • The successful candidate must be able to achieve base line security clearance as a key requirement for this role.
