Production Supervisor - Days

 

to join our team working for a better future. 

 

The preferred location for the position is in Havant, UK.

 

What you will be doing 

 

You will take care of the management and ownership of the 5 core tasks within your area of responsibility: Health and safety, Quality Control, Schedle management, People Management and Continuous improvement.

 

As Production Supervisor - Days your work will focus on these responsibilities in detail: 

 

Health and Safety
⦁    Carry out regular safety walks with your personnel to promote zero mindset culture
⦁    Ownership and management of the near miss process within your area of responsibility
⦁    Near miss investigation 
⦁    Near miss close out
⦁    Near miss KPI
⦁    Ownership of risk assessment actions and improvements within your area of responsibility   
⦁    Support department manager in resolution of CARs

 

Quality Control
⦁    Ownership and management of the production responsibilities of the NCR process within your area of responsibility 
⦁    NCR investigation
⦁    Root cause analysis
⦁    Corrective action implementation
⦁    SAP process management
⦁    Area specific NCR KPI

 

Schedule Management
⦁    Ownership and management of schedule adherence (Work to) to support OTD
⦁    Ownership of real time bookings on ERP system
⦁    Liaison to planning department to ensure non-adherence is communicated and dealt with in a timely manor to reflect actual WIP
⦁    Responsibility of resource allocation  
⦁    Ownership and management of area specific machine Utilisation KPI
⦁    Ownership and management of area specific efficiency KPI

 

People Management
⦁    Provide line management to the staff within your area of responsibility
⦁    DD
⦁    RTW/Absence management
⦁    Holiday management
⦁    Recruitment (with support from management)
⦁    Manage training requirements within your area of responsibility 
⦁    Carry out regular team briefs
⦁    Hold regular 1 2 1 meetings

 

Continuous improvement
⦁    Manage 5S adherence within your area of responsibility
⦁    Regular 5S audits
⦁    Corrective actions
⦁    Team engagement 
⦁    Leading process confirmation within your area of responsibility 
⦁    Routing review/confirmation
⦁    PMS review/confirmation
⦁    Gemba walks

 

To be successful in this role, we expect you to have: 

 

  • HNC/HND (Mechanical engineering) or Apprentice served (Mechanical engineering)
  • Proven Management/Leadership experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of CNC machining Hedenhain/Fanuc/Mazatrol
