Marine Project Manager

As a Project Manager you will be providing full life-cycle project management across a high level designated high value project and will be responsible in managing multiple and complex project tasks whilst ensuring that the project is executed efficiently, on time and all objectives achieved.


The successful candidate will be employed on a 24 month fixed term contract and will be based out of our office in Havant, Hampshire United Kingdom.


What are your main tasks and responsibilities?


  • Responsible for developing the project objectives in line with the overall programme strategy.
  • Own project budgets, ensuring adherence to the scope and schedule whilst continuously reviewing the quality of the delivery provided; making sure it is compliant and in line with customer expectations.
  • Support the development of any subcontracted items and effectively manage subcontractors.
  • Interact and become a key interface with the client and ensuring that the organisation’s interests are also met.
  • Utilising appropriate risk assessments to ensure compliance in the operational delivery of the project(s).
  • Manage negotiations across stakeholders and customers.
  • Deliver project briefs to senior management.
  • Evaluate the success of the project against its benchmarking and sharing lessons or best practice with other organisations or project managers.


What do we expect from you?


  • Extensive knowledge of project management techniques, including resource planning and management, cost capture, analysis and forecasting
  • Background within project management in up to multi-million-pound project/programme values.
  • Ability to work within agile environments across multi-site and internationally.
  • Qualification within Project Management, Prince 2 Practitioner is desirable
  • Exposure within the marine industry is desired.
  • Excellent communicator with strong analytical problem-solving skills.
  • Strong team player with excellent people skills,
  • Fluent in English, verbal and written
  • Proficient IT skills, particularly across the MS Office suite.
  • The job is offered subject to successfully obtaining security clearance. Any applicants must hold a British Passport or be eligible to hold one and have resided in the UK continuously for the last 5 years.
