We are looking for a Chief Project Engineer, Electrical with a main responsibility in Electrical Engineering. The location for this position can be in Vaasa, Turku, or Helsinki, Finland. We offer the possibility of hybrid remote work.
As a Chief Project Engineer, Electrical & Automation, your work will be mostly based on the following responsibilities:
- Be a representative of the company and have technical ownership of assigned tasks or projects
- Manage project activities, integration engineering, and technical correspondence with customers, vendors, and cross-functional stakeholders, as well as internal team members
- Plan and safeguard the execution of activities with the total cost, schedule, and customer-specific needs in focus, according to standards and contract requirements, specifications, instructions, and policies
- Actively participate in customer, vendor, and stakeholder negotiations and maintain good relationships
- Identify, mitigate, monitor, and report risks, quality issues, use of resources, cost, schedule, and scope issues in projects and for products and work process improvement
- Support project and sales teams in complex projects and stakeholders with concepts and product solutions, maintaining and developing knowledge in the global organization
- Participate in developing and maintaining tools and work methods in your own responsibility area
- Give, collect, and handle feedback regarding technical solutions and complaints
- Provide lessons learned initiatives for developing issues in your own responsibility area
To be able to succeed in the position, we expect you to have:
- B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering, Automation, or similar
- 5+ years of experience in electrical or automation engineering
- Experience in working in a multicultural environment
- Cultural knowledge and excellent communication and teamwork skills
- A proactive attitude, cost awareness, and effectiveness skills
- Ability to communicate in English, and other languages are seen as a benefit
