We are now looking for a Cloud Security Specialist to join our Cloud & Application Security Practice. The preferred location for the position is in Helsinki, Finland but also other Wärtsilä main hubs are possible locations. Although this position follows a hybrid work model and remote work is supported, employees are expected to work onsite at the office on a weekly basis.

What you will be doing

In this position, your work will include enhancing Wärtsilä Cloud Platforms security posture. You will not be working on this alone - even though the work requires a high level of independency - as you will have the support from your colleagues. For us to be the best match, we expect you to have understanding in public cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure and Google. The ideal candidate would have studies from IT and / or Cyber Security.

As we are increasingly going for a software defined approach in cloud and applications, we need you to have exposure to software development. This work will include tasks in Git and software supply chain side.

As Cloud Security Specialist, your work will focus on these responsibilities:

• Act as Cyber Security expert on cloud security matters, guiding projects and providing necessary input from security perspective
• Creation, deployment, and maintenance of preventive controls for Wärtsilä's public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Help on DevSecOps pipelines, adding necessary functions to development side (Static Code Analysis, Container Scanning etc.)
• Verify that infrastructure configurations are complying to Wärtsilä policies (CIS benchmarks, network defense etc.)
• Use our CSPM tools to find alerts and vulnerabilities on existing resources
• Cloud platform logging and monitoring development to build and develop our Cloud SOC

To be successful in this role, we expect you to have:

• Development experience and can write simple software (eg. in python)
• Experience with CI/CD practices, Kubernetes and infrastructure-as-code
• Suitable studies (IT, Cyber Security)
• Curious mind and hunger to learn more
• Experience in Public Cloud platforms
