DevOps Engineer

We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to join us in our mission for continuously boosting our R&D output. You will play a critical role in shaping the deployment, automation, and infrastructure for our products and customer-facing projects.
Preferred location is either Helsinki or Serbia.
In practice, you will implement new and maintain our existing CI/CD pipelines. We currently use Github Actions, Azure Devops and Jenkins but we have a clear focus to streamline towards Github Actions. You will look after deployments in Azure cloud and on-premise. We expect that all monitoring and notifications be automated. You will be given keys to the kingdom and very broad responsibility on the overall landscape. The intention is to enable individuals to carry out their work effectively by trusting our people.
Collaboration with development teams will be at the heart of your work. We believe DevOps best practices allows R&D output to scale by this collaboration. We operate in an agile environment; we value flexibility and the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
Cyber security has grown to be paramount for the success of our products. We recognize that this field will keep ever evolving and appreciate active participation and continuous improvement around this topic.
We act globally, from Canada to Europe and Singapore. We're looking for individuals who can work independently when required and are able to communicate asynchronously between sites. In practice, this means excellent communication and documentation skills.
Join us in this critical role where you will have the opportunity to shape our DevOps landscape and contribute to the success of ports operations management and safety in port areas.
Key responsibilities:
- Setting up and managing CI/CD pipelines with Github Actions and a solid understanding of Azure DevOps and Jenkins.
- Cloud platforms, particularly Microsoft Azure, including services like Azure Web App Service, Azure Functions, and related deployment methodologies.
- Implementing build and deployment pipelines for C++, C# and web technologies.
- Scripting skills (e.g., PowerShell, Bash) for automating deployment and infrastructure tasks.
- Containerization and orchestration using technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Strong background in infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, ARM templates, or CloudFormation.
- Familiarity with networking concepts and security practices in cloud environments.
- Proven track record of collaborating with development teams to integrate DevOps practices into the software development lifecycle.
Preferred skills:
- Monitoring and logging, with tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack.
- Creating notifications from logging, metrics and other anomalies.
- Knowledge of configuration management tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
- Familiarity with Git version control and source code management.
